Abstract

This article compares five domestic women's gamis clothing products, produced by Indonesian designers. Apart from comparative studies, this research uses the author's experience as a researcher to explore how the gamis business is progressing and developing by focusing the research object on Tuneeca products and using four other products as comparisons in terms of gamis clothing models and materials, artist models (people) who use this brand, namely SiSeSa, Mandjha Ivan Gunawan, Nina Nugroho, and Rabbani. This article uses qualitative methods with a literature review and the author's experience. At first, the author was not a robe lover, but in the end, she liked robe clothes. Primary data was taken from the official website and the author's experience. Secondary data from research results, studies, news has been verified. As a result, Tuneeca products are rich in models, refuting the assumption that robes seem old-fashioned, monotonous, and even scary for some people who label them as clothing for extremist groups.
