Wawasan Al-Qur'an Tentang Mitigasi Bencana

Abstract

This research aims to examine the insights of the Qur'an regarding disaster mitigation. The Qur'an, as the holy book of Muslims, not only contains spiritual guidance, but also provides principles relevant to disaster risk management. This research identifies and analyzes verses from the Koran related to piety, obedience, environmental management, and human attitudes in facing disasters. Through a qualitative approach with thematic interpretation methods, this research found that the Al-Qur'an provides comprehensive guidance that can be integrated into disaster mitigation strategies. Piety and obedience to Allah SWT increases public awareness and preparedness, while teachings about environmental management encourage practices that can reduce disaster risks. Apart from that, the Qur'an also teaches an attitude of patience and trust in facing disasters, which can strengthen people's mentality and spirituality in emergency situations. This research concludes that understanding and applying the values ​​of the Koran can contribute significantly to disaster mitigation efforts, creating communities that are more resilient and ready to face various disaster threats.
